At long last....

It has not been easy to be a Chiefs fan this season. But at least we finally get to see some great football action today. The Broncos played an amazing game, but there was just no  stopping the Chiefs. Maybe Cutler's diabetes was acting up. Johnson did what he is best at, and didn't even seem like a total ass. I don't know why they  would ever bench Huard, because I think he's the best quarterback. I'm glad he's back. And, as always, my man Tony Gonzalez (sigh) ruled the game. I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but Bowe has visible panty lines. It was a little weird. I really shouldn't watch football by myself anymore.
Well, I just had to share my excitement. It may be the only game they win for the rest of the season.

Bye-bye Utah!

This post is a little late, but we've had a busy week so far. Griff and I had a very fun trip to Utah. It was great to see Sean again, and everyone knows how thrilled Sean was to see us! While we were there we spent lot's of quality time with my mom and dad, and we finally met Will's fiance Cassie, we spent lot's of time outside playing and working, and had plenty of fun visits with Joelle and Phil. It was hard to leave, but the weeks will fly by before we know it. For now, it's good to be back to a more regular schedule, and to see the people we know and love out here.

Dinosaurs...Rrrrahrr!

During our visit to Utah, Sean and I took Griffin to the Dinosaur museum. He LOVED it! He was so excited, and ran from one thing to the next. He liked to look and point up at everything, and insisted on pushing his own stroller. There were computers that he could play on, he and daddy built their own dinosaur (we named him John McCain), and he really liked the sand/water tray that had lot's of little dinosaurs to play with. They also had sand pits with brushes to dig up dinosaur bones, but Griffin mostly threw the sand around. It was really fun, and I'm sure we'll go back again. Here are some great pictures I got of the action.... (most of my shots are blurry because Griff was running around so much.

We've landed

Well, we landed yesterday. Griffin was a very good boy through eight hours of traveling. I was pretty warn out from keeping him contained, but overall it was a very good experience. It has been great having Griffin and Sean back together, Griff's already having lot's of fun with his Grandma and Grandpa, and we all had together last night and met Will's fiance Cassie for the first time. The weather is great, a little warm, but without humidity it is spectacular. Well, I have to go but I'll try to keep up with blog posts as the week goes on. I'll try to get the pictures Linda took of Griffin all ready to go at the airport. They are too cute!

Happy Fall!

I think it's safe to say....Happy Fall!!! I'm so glad summer is over, and now it's time for my favorite time of the year.  I love the cooler days, jeans and sweatshirts, colorful leaves, the smell of fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving, football!, my birthday (only 7 more shopping days), Oktoberfest (I'll drink a yard of beer just for you Anna), drinking coffee in the morning, I could go on forever! From now till New Years, I'm pretty much a happy camper.

Happy Fall everyone!

Someone save me from this paper!

I am so done with writing papers. If I never have to write a paper again, it would be too soon! This one seems to be particularly excruciating. So, I have Griffin in his room for his "nap time", which is really an hour or so of "destroy his room time". This is what happened when I tried to get some work done on my paper yesterday....

Frightening, I know. And that's after I put the all the diapers back in the drawer and the drawer back in the dresser. And put all the clothes back in the laundry basket. The frame on the wall used to have 3 pictures with pretty magnets on it. That kid is baby GODZILLA!

So, part of Griffin's routine is turning his radio on really loud. For a while, he was partial to classic rock, but through some button pushing he has ended up on the oldies station. Now, I don't usually listen to the oldies station because I find the DJs extremely irritating, and I hate listening to commercials every two minutes. But, because it's not worth the battle to change the station (or turn it down) I've been listening to it too. Since when do '80's songs count as oldies? So far, I've heard Blondie, NXS, Journey, Cindi Lauper, and a handful of other similarly awesome eighties artists. There is no way I'm old enough to have my music played on the oldies station. If I hear Tiffany, Debbie Gibson, or New Kids on the Block, I am so writing a letter.

After I write my paper.
